I have become fascinated with making gift cards, even though the amount of work that goes into them is just as much as some of my larger card creations.
My favorite size is a 2.5 x 3.5 inch card, which is the same size as the popular Artist Trading Card. Okay, I admit that I've never really been much of an ATC fan; I always prefer my artwork to be as a card, so that the recipient can choose to keep it, use it or (heaven forbid) bin it!
These miniature card creations seem to be popular among the masses, too, as they sometimes sell faster than my larger cards. I think there is some romantic and special attraction to anything that is a miniature -- think dollhouses, ponies, and miniature portraits.
These cards are based on the design from my previous blog entry, except they use pearl cardstock and a Stampin' Up punch to create the tiny flowers.
