Copic Colour Challenge 43

I was quite tickled when I was invited to be a guest designer for the Copic Colour Challenge Number 43.

For those who know me, this is my favourite time of the year. I can't get enough Christmas music and the sights and sounds of the season. I love the weather, the fairy lights on the tree, the uplifted moods, and time spent with family and friends.

Considering my love of Christmas, I was happy to see that the chosen Copic colours were very much indicative of the season, namely:

The Copic shades above lend themselves very well to creating Christmas cards, which I have done for this challenge.

My first card features Stampin' Up's Silent Night. In addition to using the challenge Copic colours listed above, I also used a wide array of harmonic shades. The sky was created using the markers, a sponge and the Copic blending pen.

The Warm Winter Wishes card features a sentiment from Inkadinkado and a gorgeous robin stamp from Craft UK. Copic markers bring out the beauty of this winter friend in our English gardens.

And lastly, I have a multi-textured snowman card, which began with a simple and humble snowman from Inkadinkado. He was colored with a selection of Copic markers, including the shades of this challenge. But that was only the beginning. I've used quite a few techniques and products to create this card, including gesso, glimmer spray, heat-set embossing, glitter and H20s. I'll leave the tutorial for this card for another day!
