Friends, Angels & Halos

When I first saw this set, "If the Halo Fits," from Stampin' Up!, I knew I must have it! I just love it, and I can see myself using it over and over again. There are so many wonderful friends in my life whom deserve a card made with this set.

The cards feature Moon Glow's Moon Shadow Mists sprayed over a clear-embossed image. Moon Shadow Mists contain pigment powder and walnut ink. The results provide a lovely and warm vintage feeling with a glimmery finish.

I used a different color of Moon Shadow Mists with the next two cards, which feature some lovely flourish stamps from Inkadinkado (with the exception of the tiny sentiment stamp show below from Stampin' Up!). The Inkadinkado flourish stamps come as traditional wood-mounted or in as new clear stamp sets.

On the purple card shown below, I used the Moon Glow's Glitz Spritz (pigment powder mixed with water) on dark cardstock to achieve the same feeling in reverse. Many of the Glitz Spritz work wonderfully on dark cardstock. This card features Stampin' Up!'s "If the Halo Fits" stamp set and Stampendous!'s Bold Heart clear stamp set.

These techniques came from Lindy of Lindy's Stamp Gang (www.lindystampgang.com), where you can buy Moon Glow Products, and from Technique Junkies Newsletter (www.techniquejunkies.com).

Love your blog, Kathryn. Very different to my style - I'm more of a 'mucky' crafter! :-)
